Gatsby Final Essay
As time goes on most people move on and others like Gatsby who can't let go of the past and still urge to not give up. The Great Gatsby reveals problematic situations that happen because the characters in the book are either still involved with the past or being stuck in their ways. Gatsby, a rich man, who is obsessed with Daisy and can't let go of the remarkable past and the love that he has been having for her. Daisy, a stunning upper class lady, who is truly in love with Gatsby but had to choose the wealth than being in love. Gatsby and Daisy have the type of love for each other where they both got attached and can't seem to let go even through any circumstance and nobody will take neither of their places because of the unique love they got.
Gatsby tries his hardest to get back what he once was and he does not give up very easily, to get back the woman he loves which is Daisy. Gatsby did everything in his power to get any time and attention even if it was firing his servants. Gatsby was going through a moment where he was poor. Daisy couldn't seem to wait around for him to get right with himself, she had to make the right decision for herself and what was going to benefit her and chose wealth. Daisy still loved Gatsby even when he was poor, she didn't love Tom the same as she loved Gatsby.
Daisy makes her decision and gets married to Tom but as their marriage goes on Gatsby still interrupts and tries to see her. Gatsby couldn't stand how Daisy wouldn't be truthful with Tom about who she is really in love with. He continues conversating with Tom about Daisy, sooner or later had a confrontation with Tom about her love for him, how she doesn't love him, and how she only married him because he was poor and she could no longer wait. Tom continues to Deny everything Gatsby says, just because he doesn't want Gatsby to gain her back. The same way Gatsby doesn't want to see Tom and Daisy together is the same way Tom doesn't enjoy seeing Gatsby and Daisy together. They both do not want to lose her in a way, and can't seem to face actuality.
Thus, the last sentence of the book sums up the moments that have happened, circumstances that we attempt to change and circumstances that we dread will change.
