Gatsby Notes and Thoughts: Chapter 7

• Mr. Carraway thought Mr. Gatsby was sick because he haven't seen him around

I like the way carraway shows up to check on Gatsby to see if he is okay.

• Mr. Gatsby fired all of his servants because Daisy goes around.

I see that Gatsby would do a lot for Daisy just to continue seeing her.

• Daisy seemed relieved to find out miss baker and nick were going to lunch at her house

I think daisy just wanted somebody to talk to.

• Daisy kissed Gatsby while Tom left 

Honestly none of these men deserve Daisy because it looks as if daisy is playing with their heads just because she can't get her feelings right.

• Jordan caught Daisy and she felt guilty

Daisy that she would get away with it and wasn't aware of her surroundings.

• Daisy and Gatsby's eyes met and Daisy told him that she loves him and Tom saw

Tom shouldn't have to see his own wife doing things behind his back and Daisy shouldn't keep on lying just to stay with him.

• They're all going to town

Something is going to happen especially if Tom and Gatsby are coming along together.

•  Gatsby said daisy's voice is full of money

There's probably a different meaning behind that but to me I thought that whatever she says attracts or she cares about.

1. Gatsby stops having parties for Daisy because he's seeing her

2.Gatsby wanted someone who wouldn't gossip. Daisy went over quite often in the afternoons. He replaces them with "brothers and sisters" who are close to Wolfshiem and use to run a small hotel. He can trust them to keep his and Daisy's secret visits that they have. Wolfsheim is respectable and sees the bad in people.

3.Gatsby kept looking at the child with surprise and didn't believe in the existence and daisy thought the kid look like her.

4.Daisy and Gatsby went on the ride together in Toms car, and tom went to get lunch. Gatsby told Tom that his wife doesn't love him and how she never loved him and how she loves him instead. Tom didn't believe it and called him crazy. How daisy married Tom because Gatsby was poor and tired of waiting for me and how she never loved anyone except him. Gatsby won because Daisy revealed the truth to Tom.

5. They discovered something scary on the border of the valley ashes. Myrtle got hit by a car who sped away fast.

6. They were sitting at the table talking and Tom put his hand over hers covering hers. This tells me that Daisy is ruthless and guilty.
