Gatsby Notes and Thoughts: Chapter 6

• Gatsby and Tom have an introduction as strangers and Gatsby tells him how he knows his wife

I thought it would've been awkward especially if Gatsby loved his wife.

• Nick says that she says she does want Tom

I thought this could be true but also a lie because she still has feelings for Gatsby.

• Daisy and Gatsby danced. 

To me I thought that was strange because she should've danced with Tom instead.

• Tom thought Gatsby was a bootlegger

I think Tom just assumes all rich people are the same.

• Tom wants to know who he is and what Gatsby does

I thought that maybe Tom thought it was strange about him knowing his wife.
